Foraging Dinner

September 27th

Join Genee from @herbaceouscatering and Amy from the @ct_foraging_club for our first Foraging Farm Dinner at Open Farmhouse on September 27th. This experience will include a foraging walk with Amy through our fields and woods to gather ingredients for dinner, then Genee will prepare a 5-course farm to table meal using the ingredients! Dinner will be held with a view of the kitchen garden in all its glory! It’s the most abundant time of year on the farm, we hope you’ll join us for a memorable evening of magical morsels and a delicious dinner!

Weekends in October (including Monday, October 13th) 10 am to 5 pm

We’ll be open again for pick-your-own pumpkins, hayrides and school groups this October. There will also be winter squash, gourds and sunflowers!

  • Pumpkin picking is back this weekend at Warrup’s Farm in Redding, CT! Lots of big carving pumpkins on the vine, funky gourds, winter squash, hayrides, pumpkin spice lattes, candles and more! Come visit us and be sure to keep an eye out for the pumpkin heads…family fun for all!
  • We are open today! Stay warm and cosy with a pumpkin spice latte or hot cider. Hay rides running until around 2 PM. So far no rain and perfect sweater weather. Lots of big pumpkins and funky gourds on the vine for pick your own. Or maybe choose one of our winter squash to make your own fall meal tonight!

  • We are leaping into pumpkin season! Winter squash will be available in the farm stand soon and pumpkins and gourds had an amazing growing season! It was dry but we irrigated and boy are these pumpkins big. We’ll be open for pumpkin picking weekends in October including Indigenous Peoples Day, 10-5. As a reminder the barnyard, farmhouse, and kitchen garden are closed to the public. Thank you for understanding!
