The farm offers a chance for direct engagement with the land. Roam freely through 300 acres of fields and forests. Harvest vegetables from the garden to prepare your meals, or collect eggs from the chicken coop in the barnyard. If you’d like to participate in farm life, there's always a chance to lend a hand.
Experience living in community. Prepare a meal together, team up for a workout session or gather around one of the many fireplaces in the evening. Overnight accommodations for up to 10 people, with plenty of space to create a balance for your personal time.
Open Farmhouse is a place to create new ideas, connections and memories. Whether gathering your community for a retreat or celebrating a special day, we provide the space to bring your idea to life. Collaborate in the coworking office or celebrate in the ballroom. Wherever you choose to be, you'll be surrounded by nature.
We are a welcoming space for BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ people looking to farm, live, and create in community.
Black Lives Matter.
The Open Farmhouse Solidarity Fund was founded in partnership with former residents, in recognition of the structural inequalities that have historically separated Black, Indigenous, and People of Color from access to farms, land, and economic resources. This fund can offset a small amount of the costs for BIPOC creatives who wish to book an event for us. As this fund is limited, we ask that only those who need financial support apply. For more info, please inquire directly.
Located just an hour and a half north of New York City, Open Farmhouse is very accessible, yet a world away. The large 1840’s farmhouse has been transformed into a warm and lively community space. Start your mornings with yoga in the ballroom or make a coffee in the well-equipped kitchen. In the evenings, gather in the living room or pour a drink in the cellar taproom. And at the end of the day, retreat to the comfort of your bedroom.
Our mission is to build a regenerative community and provide equitable access to farm, live, and create.
Our vision is a place that fosters connection to the land, strengthens community, and plants seeds for cultural renewal.
Open Farmhouse is an initiative of Warrup’s Farm LLC, a family owned business since 1985.
