December 7 & 8 – Holiday Market and Poutine Shack 12 – 5 PM
Join Open Farmhouse for a spirited afternoon of holiday cheer! There will be handmade wreaths, beeswax candles, and other special crafts made on the farm. We will also be serving our poutine – pomme frites, topped with cheese curds, and slathered in mushroom gravy! Stay warm with hot chocolate and mulled cider.

Join Open Farmhouse for an evening of vegetarian Japanese Izakaya (tapas) and vintage records in the kitchen garden. Bring your favorite libation. Learn about what varieties we’re growing, sample veg right from the garden, dance to the music and enjoy our homemade tapas using farm produce. This event will be rain or shine, in the event of rain we will move into the 1840’s farmhouse and tavern. Pumpkin Picking at the Farm
Weekends in October (including Monday, October 14th) 10 am to 5 pm
We’ll be open again for pick-your-own pumpkins, hayrides and school groups this October. There will also be winter squash, gourds and sunflowers!
October 9 at 6:30 PM – Bread and Puppet Circus at Open Farmhouse
The circus is coming! The circus is coming! The company presents The Beginning After the End of Humanity Circus, a brand new show in the tradition of the iconic Bread & Puppet Circus. As usual, the show will draw on traditional circus tropes and familiar Bread and Puppet iconography to draw attention to the urgent issues of the day. Stilt dancers, paper maché beasts of all sizes and a riotous brass band make a raucous, colorful spectacle of protest and celebration.
After the show Bread & Puppet will serve its famous sourdough rye bread with aioli, and Bread & Puppet’s “Cheap Art” – books, posters, postcards, pamphlets and banners from the Bread & Puppet Press – will be for sale.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket for this outdoor sunset performance next to the sunflower field.
Tickets are $20. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
